  1. I don’t know how to make the 3rd row, what is *drop YO, YO ?

    1. Drop the yarn over you made in the previous row (slip the yarn off the needle) then wrap the working yarn around the needle to make a new yarn over.

  2. What does maintain 5 stitch garter border on each edge mean? And how do I do it?
    Thank you!

    1. It mean you knit the first and last five stitches of the rows, for both sides of the blanket. This will make strips on the side that are a stitch pattern called garter stitch.

  3. Row 2 is *P4, YO ~ Question ~ at the end of the row, I have the P4 right before the K5 garter stitch. Do I finish with the *P4, YO* to the end and then YO just before the K5?

    1. Hi Karen,
For the end of the second row you should have a yarn over before you start knitting the five stitches of the garter stitch border. The pattern repeat for the second row is as you’ve indicated, P4,YO.

  4. Very nice!

  5. In the 3rd row, how do I drop the YO? It’s the 10th stitch in the 2nd row (knit 5 for edge, P4, YO) but in the 3rd row it’s right after the first 5 knit stitches. What am I missing? Thanks!

    1. Hi Brenda,
When you turn your work the first stitch after the garter stitch border is the yarnover that you should drop.
